It's extremely hard to Filter for something that does not exist. GM6.7.

Building a new filter to find contacts with several criteria, Country, Product is OK but I also want to check for blank e-mail addresses.

In the filter build drop down there is no Field Name available for e-mail address.

I know from running SQL queries I can search for e-mail addresses as in this query which finds contacts with no e-mail address in the contact record.


select company, contact, city, state, zip, key1, key2, key3, key4, key5 from contact1 
where accountno not in (select accountno from contsupp 
where contact = 'E-mail Address' and rectype = 'P') 
order by company, contact


Is there a way to incorporate within a standard filter a check for blank e-mails or do I have to code it in SQL and then put that in the SQL query window of the filter?
