Alternative upgrade path for GoldMine Standard Edition users For a couple of years now, I have been searching for a viable alternative for my GoldMine Standard Edition users who feel that they were abandoned by FrontRange. The FrontRange upgrade path was and is to move to GoldMine Premium Edition. This is a costly $549.00/seat, with a minimum purchase of 5 Maintenance Plan Seats at $139.00/seat. The hook was the new user friendly interface, and the addition of the Service & Support module. We received comments like: "This is way to expensive for my single user operation." and "I don't use all of the GoldMine features now. Why would I want to upgrade to an application that is more expensive and has more features that I won't use?" This proved to be a major hurdle for many of the GoldMine Standard Edition users, hence, my search for an alternative. Today, after more then two years of searching I think that I have found an alternative upgrade path for these individuals, and that is the RedHorse CRM product line. This product line will allow GoldMine users to easily Import All of their GoldMine dBase/SQL data directly into the RedHorse CRM application. You lose no GoldMne data. What other costs may I expect? You could expect to need to purchase a 10 hour GoldMine Support Plan from us for $750.00 which will actually give you 11 hours of support. In most upgrades, and new installations this will cover everything. I must be honest with you, however, on large installations or abnormal data upgrades this time could vary. Although, this is not a quote to complete your upgrade/installation, it has proven to be a very good estimate of time for upgrading/installing RedHorse CRM. What if my upgrade/installation only takes a couple of hours? This has happened often on smaller systems, and although these dollars are non refundable, your RedHorse Support Contract time never expires. The support time is always there for you to utilize for training, reinstallation, configurations, E-mail Templates, RedHorse Reports, or anything RedHorse related that you can possibly think of.
